This information would have saved me about $1000 a couple of years ago
when I got a young male with heartworms. After 4 days at the vet's, he looked
so bad when I picked him up, I made a promise to myself that I would never do
that to a dog again.

I just got the copies of his book in a couple days ago, and it is the best --
common sense approach to pet care that I have read in a long time! Especially
if we are trying to keep pets and live too!
It's a book I didn't want to put down (but had to) before I could finish it! I did
finish it before I went to bed though!
